summer practice schedule madness
When we created the original summer schedule for masters at SBAC we were prepared to offer morning and afternoon practices for all masters interested in participating. However, due to a pool drain problem at Dos Pueblos High School that prevented us from using the facility, those plans were then put on hold.
We apologize for the confusion on the matter of pool times and locations for the masters this summer. Currently we are offering morning practices to a select number of elite masters swimming athletes. If you would like more information about the times and locations of the masters practice this summer please e-mail markwarkentin@hotmail.com.
I look forward to establishing and coaching a comprehensive and competitive masters swim program in Santa Barbara/Goleta, and I believe that we will have a great masters atmosphere in the near future.
Please return to this blogsite fequently for updates on the summer schedule and the final word on the start date for the fall season. If you've already been to one of the practices please spread the word about what a typical mastes practice is like and encourage others to participate in the workout.

A message from the Head Swim Coach,
The first summer of swimming at the Santa Barbara Aquatics Club is now officially here. As the head coach of the new program I am eager to share my knowledge and enthusiasm for the sport with the community and help develop SBAC into the premier club swimming program in Southern California. That’s my primary goal, plain and simple.
I’d like to take this time to share my plan for the various groups at SBAC (link to the plan). It’s going to be an exciting summer and I hope that you will come to a practice and see what is happening on a daily basis.
See you at the pool,
SBAC Head Coach
